Invisalign® is a modern and technologically advanced way to move teeth. It is a safe and pain free way for straightening teeth.
The procedure involves a series of invisible and removable aligners that are required to be changed every two weeks, in exchange for the follow-up set of aligners. Each set of aligners are molded to fit your teeth perfectly. When each aligner is replaced by our skilled dentists, you will be able to see changes that occur inch by inch, and then eventually straighten to a final position as predicted. Once you are satisfied with the straightening, you will feel confident enough to flash your beautiful smile, all thanks to Invisalign's hassle free procedure.
Bringing back your smile, one tooth at a time
Deciding on a teeth straightening treatment plan can be tricky. You may not feel confident enough to try out something new. Invisalign® has been providing clear aligners for over 18 years and has recently celebrated over five million successful cases worldwide. With that in mind, you can rest assured that our orthodontists will be in the best position to advise you whether Invisalign® is the best way to treat your teeth. We will discuss with you all the options including fixed orthodontics or incognito. We will then guide you depending on your case whether to proceed with Invisalign® or any other orthodontic treatment.
The journey towards a Perfect Smile is closer than you think
Three easy steps:
Following your consultation, the steps are easy and quick. We will take 3D scans of your teeth and digital pictures. Within minutes, all the information is uploaded and sent to Invisalign®. Within two to three working days, Invisalign® will create a treatment plan that our dentists will review thoroughly to make sure that it is the best treatment plan for you. They will then send you an email with a video that shows you exactly how the teeth will be moved and how long the treatment plan will take. This is the stage where we can customize the changes to your needs and aesthetic desires. Patient feedback and involvement is crucial at this stage and will ensure that you are happy with the aesthetic result while the dentist is satisfied with the clinical and functional requirements of the treatment. Once everyone is happy, Invisalign® takes 10-14 days to print and deliver the aligners.
If you have any further interest in asking about Invisalign® or any other orthodontic option, please don’t hesitate to schedule an appointment with one of our dentists who will be able to guide you on your journey.
What is an Invisalign® Treatment?
Invisalign treatment is the process of wearing a series of clear, removable aligners that gradually straighten your teeth. No brackets and wires, and none of the restrictions that come with metal braces.
How does Invisalign® Treatment work?
Your Invisalign® clear aligners are custom-made for you. The aligners are virtually invisible and fit snugly over your teeth.
Each aligner shifts your teeth slightly, moving them horizontally and vertically and even rotating them when needed. Your aligners are engineered to use the right amount of force in the right place at the right time.
When you change to the next set of aligners (typically every week) your teeth gradually move into position, following a custom treatment plan mapped out by your doctor.
Only Invisalign clear aligners are made of proprietary, multilayer SmartTrack® material to gently shift your teeth into place.
How will Invisalign® treatment straighten my teeth?
Your doctor will create a unique, digital treatment plan that maps out the exact movements of your teeth. Your Invisalign clear aligners are then designed to apply the right amount of force to the right place at the right time based on your plan. Your doctor will be with you every step of the way to monitor your progress and ensure your aligners fit correctly.
Is Invisalign treatment right for me?
Yes! Invisalign treatment can be a great solution for both adults and teens looking for a virtually invisible method to improve their smile. Our innovations and technological advancements make it possible to fix nearly all common teeth-straightening and bite issues, from simple to complex — all without interrupting your busy life. And, thanks to a discreet blue dot on the outside of teen aligners, parents can be sure their child is wearing their clear aligners enough.
How long will treatment take?
The length of treatment depends on multiple factors, like how complex your case is and how often you wear your aligners. Your doctor will determine exactly how long your treatment will take based on your specific needs. On average, Invisalign® treatment time is 12 to 18 months, though you can start seeing results in a matter of weeks.
How often will I change aligners?
Your doctor will tell you how often you should change to new aligners (this can vary based on your individual treatment plan). Many doctors recommend changing Invisalign® clear aligners weekly or every other week.
How many hours per day should I wear my aligners?
For the best results, wear your Invisalign® clear aligners 20 to 22 hours a day, taking them out just for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing.
How many people have used Invisalign® clear aligners?
Over 5 million people, including more than 1 million teens, have used Invisalign® clear aligners to transform their smiles.
I am currently wearing braces. Can I make the switch to Invisalign® treatment?
Possibly! Doctors are treating a significant number of patients with a combination of braces and Invisalign® clear aligners — consult your doctor to determine the best treatment approach for your smile.
Is Invisalign® treatment painful?
Invisalign® treatment moves your teeth by applying gentle, constant force, but some people do feel temporary discomfort for the first few days of wearing a new set of aligners. Typically, people describe it as feeling “pressure” and it’s normal — it’s a sign your Invisalign® clear aligners are working and transforming your smile.
Will Invisalign® treatment still work if I only wear my aligners while I sleep?
You need to wear your Invisalign® aligners 20 to 22 hours a day to get the results you want.
